Jay Wright weighs in on Ben Hansbrough, late-season struggles

Villanova coach Jay Wright joined the show to talk about his season and look ahead to the NCAA Tournament.

Wright had interesting comments on the Notre Dame team that beat them the other night. “I think they’re great,” Wright said. “I love their toughness. They shoot the ball extremely well as everyone knows. But they have a mental and physical toughness that makes them very unique.”

Wright thinks that the Ben Hansbrough can play in the NBA. He said his handle and defense has improved tremendously. He said that he thinks Hansbrough has a better NBA future than BYU’s Jimmer Fredette.

Wright said he’s not concerned about fading late like last season. He said no season is the same, and he doesn’t read into what happened last year.
