Mike Florio explains what NFL lockout really means
Profootballtalk’s Mike Florio joined the show to explain what’s going on with the looming NFL lockout.
He said the biggest thing is putting off free agency. Usually this Friday would be a monster day on his Web site. Not this year.
Florio also said that teams have a lot of uncertainty going into the draft. They don’t know if they’ll be filling holes left by the lack of free agency.
Florio said that he thinks there’s very little chance a deal happens quickly, but he thinks the owners probably still hope they can squeeze the players sooner rather than later.
Florio also wanted to clear up that the latest reports are that A.J. Hawk is going back to the Packers with a new deal.
