Bill Walton shares his thoughts on NCAA Tournament
Hall of Famer Bill Walton joined the show to talk about the NCAA Tournament and much more. Here are some of his takes:
— Walton said the best trash-talkers were Larry Bird and John Wooden. Two small-town guys who mastered the art.
— Walton talked about Nolan Smith and gave him a lot of credit for overcoming his father Derrick Smith’s death. Walton played with Derrick on the Los Angeles Clippers.
— Walton said that the NBA should have a 21-year-old age limit and require players to wait for three years after high school. He can’t understand why the union supports guys who aren’t in the league yet.
