Jeff Goodman says Tournament and college season disappointing
FOXSports.com’s Jeff Goodman joined the show to share his thoughts on UConn’s 53-41 win over Butler in the national title game and what it meant.
“The Tournament was great,” Goodman said. “The final game certainly was not. It’s kind of sad. It kind of summed up the college basketball season. Not a lot of great teams. Not a lot of great players.”
Goodman said that Kemba Walker will leave UConn for the NBA. He walked on senior night as a junior. He also said Kyrie Irving is gone, and so is Jared Sullinger is too. Goodman said the big question is North Carolina’s Harrison Barnes. “My gut is he’s gone,” Goodman said of Barnes, “but it could go either way.”
Goodman also talked about why Shaka Smart didn’t want to go to North Carolina State. Goodman said that the fan base in notoriously crazy and pushes out coaches, and the AD isn’t likable.
Goodman also said UNLV doesn’t want Bob Knight because he can’t recruit. “He wants to coach again,” Goodman said.
