Dan Shaughnessy says Manny shouldn’t be a Hall of Famer

Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy joined the show to talk about Manny Ramirez’ sudden retirement and the Celtics’ recent struggles.

Shaughnessy said that he won’t vote for Manny for the Hall of Fame. Shaughnessy said that now you don’t know how far back this goes, and he quite on the Red Sox, Dodgers and the Rays.

Shaughnessy said that the Red Sox picked it up a bit over the weekend, but now there’s a lot of concern everyone overrated their pitchers.

Shaughnessy also said the Celtics are in trouble after trading Kendrick Perkins. “It’s not like last year when they consciously decide cruise control,” Shaughnessy said. He said the heart of the team has changed. They’re not as tough inside. And it was done Shaquille O’Neal could save them and he can’t stay healthy.
