I-Team uncovers details on Masters green jacket

Rory McIlory Tweeted a photo of him and Charl Schwartzel on a plane yesterday headed toward Malaysia.

The I-Team did an investigation into the rules around the green jacket. Here is what we found out from Augusta National in regards to the jacket:

-Winner keeps jacket for 1 year.

-Winner turns jacket back in to clubhouse when they arrive for the next Masters (Charl Schwartzel will turn his in when he arrives in 2012)

-After winner turns jacket in, jacket stays at Augusta from then on.

-Multiple winners receive only ONE jacket. So if Charl Schwartzel won the 2012 Masters, he would be presented with the 2011 Green Jacket. Tiger Woods is a four-time winner, but was awarded just one jacket mutiple times.

-They know of no situation where the Masters winner damaged the jacket so much that it had to be replaced, nor has a Green Jacket ever been stolen or lost by a Masters winner.
