John Smoltz comments on Bonds, Fuld not getting cycle, golf
MLB Network analyst John Smoltz joined the show to talk some of the big storylines around baseball.
Smoltz talked about the Rays’ Sam Fuld not stopping at first and getting a double that cost him a cycle last night against the Red Sox. He said a veteran player would have tripped over first and gotten a single to complete the cycle.
Dan asked Smoltz if he believes Barry Bonds didn’t know what was going in him. “I gotta believe int his day and age, if you don’t, it’s still on you,” Smoltz said.
Dan asked Smoltz if he’d rather be in the PGA now or be enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame. “PGA,” Smoltz said. “I’d have to wait longer to get to the Hall of Fame.”
