Walt Frazier breaks down Knicks-Celtics series

MSG Knicks analyst Walt Frazier joined the show to talk about New York’s tough loss to the Celtics on Sunday night.

Dan asked Frazier if the Knicks were OK with Carmelo Anthony taking the last shot — a three-pointer over two defenders.

“That’s the guy you want to take that shot. He’s proven he can deliver. I’m sure the Knicks were happy ‘Melo had the ball in that scenario,” Frazier said.

Frazier thought the Knicks would win one in Boston, but now he’s not sure. He said that now N.Y. might not have the same confidence.

Frazier also commented on New York back in the day. He said Joe Namath was even more famous than him and Mickey Mantle. But he said that neither Frazier or Namath wore a fur coat first — they basically did it at the same time.
