Jimmie Johnson explains why you need teammates in NASCAR

Five-time NASCAR champ Jimmie Johnson joined the show to talk about his win at Talledega and the help he got from Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Johnson talked about why you need teammates in NASCAR. “It’s one of the necessary evils of restrictor plate racing today,” Johnson said.

Johnson said not having a teammate can cost you four seconds a lap. “It’s an odd and different type of racing,” Johnson said.

Johnson said that he and Earnhardt really committed to each other before the race, and it paid off.

Johnson also talked about his golf cart accident. He was pulling a Teen Wolf on the top of the cart, and he busted his wrist when falling off.

Johnson also talked about his guest appearance on Christian Slater’s show Breaking In tomorrow at 9:30 p.m. ET. He said it’s a lot of fun, but he’s not crossing over to acting.
