Scott Brooks on Westbrook’s shot choices, Mavs’ strengths

Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks joined the show to talk about the matchup against the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference finals.

Brooks had some interesting comments on his point guard Russell Westbrook. “One thing Russell does is play hard every game,” Brooks said. “At times he gets a little aggressive with his own shot. But he has to.”

Westbrook said that Westbrook isn’t a finished product, but he’s great. He even thought Westbrook could have shot more in Game 7.

Brooks had a lot of nice things to say about the Mavs. “I think they’re the best passing team in basketball,” Brooks said. And he had a lot of praise for Dirk Nowitzki and Tyson Chandler, who present big challenges for his team.

But Brooks thinks every team still alive in the playoffs has a good chance to win it all.
