Hancock says USC won’t automatically be stripped of ’04 title
By Paul Pabst
BCS Executive Director Bill Hancock told me this morning that despite the fact that USC lost its NCAA appeal of major sanctions, stripping the Trojans’ of their 2004 college football title is “not automatic.” Hancock said that the BCS Presidential Oversight Committee will consider the matter and decide.
There is no timetable set for when the Oversight Committee will meet, but it will be “sooner rather than later.”
