Tom Verducci says Mets and Dodgers have deep fundamental problems

Sports Illustrated senior baseball writer Tom Verducci joined the show to talk about the Mets, Dodgers and more.

Verducci said the Mets have a cash crisis right now because they built a stadium to run at full capacity, and they’re not filling seats.

But Verducci said Frank McCourt has even worse problems in L.A. “I just don’t see how Frank McCourt can maintain control of the team,” Verducci said. He thinks MLB is running a “four-corners offense” to try to run out the clock on McCourt and take over the team.

Verducci thinks that Interleague play is done wrong. He thinks they shouldn’t do it intermittently. They should set aside a big chunk of July and really focus on it when no other sports are going on.
