Hooley: Terrelle Pryor unlikely to play next season for Ohio State

FOX Sports Ohio broadcaster Bruce Hooley joined the show to talk about the decision to force Jim Tressel to resign.

Hooley said that Ohio State was late to the party coming down on Tressel. He said that the Sports Illustrated story was the tipping point. Hooley thinks that Tressel would have been gone anyway, but the George Dohrmann sped up the process.

“It’s my opinion that Terrelle Pryor has played his last game for Ohio State,” Tressel said.

Tressel said that Pryor showing up in a new car yesterday was simply the QB thumbing his nose at the media, saying you can catch me because I’m gone anway.

Hooley suggested Tony Dungy would be a great replacement, and that there are several guys who could fill that role. Hooley also thinks that Urban Meyer would be a great fit, because he doesn’t need to prove himself and wouldn’t need to push the boundaries of what’s allowed.
