Taylor said Kidd and Nowitzki lack of emotion helps Mavs

Dallas Morning News columnist Jean-Jacques Taylor joined the show to break down the Mavs-Heat series.

Taylor admitted his column changed dramatically during the Mavs’ fourth-quarter comeback. “I was half-way through a complete evisceration of Jason Terry and Peja Stojakovic,” Taylor said.

Taylor said Dallas easily knocked the Miami crowd out of it. “They’re one of the worst crowds I’ve ever seen,” Taylor said. “It didn’t take too much to drain that crowd.”

Taylor said a key is that Jason Kidd and Dirk Nowitzki are not emotional, and that helps them pull of those comebacks. “They’re as calm as they come, so they never panic,” Taylor said.

But Taylor still thinks the Heat have a good chance of pulling out the series, because two superstars trumps one. However, Taylor thinks confidence could make the Mavs play better than they actually are.
