Chris Mannix says Dirk’s performance will be legacy of Finals
SI.com’s Chris Mannix joined the show to talk about the NBA Finals and the upcoming NBA Draft.
Dan asked Mannix what will utlimately be the story of the Finals — Dirk or LeBron.
“Long term, I think what Nowitzki has done has been remarkable,” Mannix said. “Carrying this team. Being a one-man band.”
Mannix said LeBron’s struggles will be more of a short-term story. “If they can find a way to win this series, all these struggles will be forgotten,” Mannix said.
Mannix said that LeBron has a huge height advantage on the guys covering him and has to take the ball to the rim.
Mannix is working on a Jimmer Fredette story for SI. He said the BYU superstar could go in the top five or could slide into the second half of the first round.
