SI’s Ian Thomsen says LeBron back to old LeBron
Sports Illustrated’s Ian Thomsen joined guest host Chris Mannix to talk about the NBA Finals
Thomsen said there are a lot of big storylines in the Finals, but in the end it’s all about LeBron. “He’s the reason the audiences are so big,” Thomsen said.
Thomsen said LeBron made an unbelievable string of shots against Chicago in the conference finals and had an incredible sense of confidence. But Thomsen said no one can keep that up, and now the confidence is gone. “He’s come back to normal,” Thomsen said. “The LeBron James you want taking outside shots. You want him to be settling for the jump shot.”
Thomsen said that this series won’t define LeBron James. He has a lot more playoff basketball left in him.
Thomsen also said that Dirk Nowitzki has transformed from a European player to an “Americanized” playoff star.
Thomsen thinks that the Heat are going to play with a lot more desperation from Miami in the next two games and it’s going to be very difficult for Dallas to pull out the series win.
