Rovell: Fredette lost money not going to Utah

CNBC sports business analyst Darren Rovell joined the show to talk about what it means for Sacramento and Utah that Jimmer Fredette went to the Kings.

“I think [Fredette] lost about 1 ½ million dollars not being in Utah,” Rovell said. Rovell said Fredette would have gotten immediate deals just for being in Utah.

Rovell said that the Kings have a lot of tickets to sell. They used to sell out all the time, and now they’re having trouble moving tickets. So the Fredette pick is important.

Rovell also said that Rory McIlroy not joining the PGA would be a big deal. Rovell said the PGA really needs Rickie Fowler to take the next step.
