Harold Reynolds says Giants have best staff in MLB
MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds joined the show to talk about the trade deadline.
Reynolds likes the Giants trading a pitching prospect for Carlos Beltran. He doesn’t think they gave up a lot to get a bona fide hitter. Dan asked him who has a better overall staff, the Giants or the Phillies. HR chose San Francisco. “The Giants bullpen is almost far superior to everyone else in the league,” Reynolds said.
Reynolds says Rockies pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez is one of the biggest prizes out there because he’s so cheap and he still throws well.
Reynolds also commented on instant replay. He thinks if there’s a big blown call that affects the playoff race, then something could happen. Reynolds thinks it could help the umpire. “It allows the umpires to get bailed out,” Reynolds said.
