Kolb says he wanted to be starter, came down to Cardinals, ‘Hawks

New Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb joined the show to talk about being traded from the Eagles last week.

Kolb said he didn’t know the trade was definitely going to happen until the last second. He said that a lot of things happen, so you never know. Kolb said that the Cardinals and Seahawks were the last two teams left in the market for the Eagles to deal with.

Kolb said that he did work out with Larry Fitzgerald during the summer. He said he stayed with Fitzgerald during the All-Star break in Phoenix. Kolb said he wanted to make sure he was ready if the deal did go through.

“I wanted to be a starter,” Kolb said. “I made it pretty clear. I wanted to get out on the field. This place fits me pretty good.”
