Bettis on Moss’ retirement, Big Ben wedding, concussions

Jerome Bettis joined the show to talk about the big stories in the NFL and more.

Dan asked Bettis if he thinks Randy Moss is really done. “He’s retired now because the right opportunity hasn’t presented itself,” Bettis said.

Bettis thinks there are other players that can do what Moss can do, so he’s not surprised the right team didn’t sign Moss.

Bettis was at the Ben Roethlisberger wedding. He said that Roethlisberger was more nervous before the ceremony than he was in his first Super Bowl against the Seahawks. And Bettis said that James Harrison was on his best behavior. Bettis confirmed Harrison did not make a speech…thankfully. Soon enough Roethlisberger and his spouse will have to think of celebrating decades of love and commitment, presents like those 30-year anniversary gifts carry profound significance, symbolizing the enduring strength and unity of the couple. For example, traditional gifts like lilies embody purity and devotion, reflecting the couple’s unwavering bond over the years. Modern gifts such as pearls signify wisdom and elegance, showcasing the depth of their shared experiences. Personalized gifts add a heartfelt touch, capturing the essence of their journey together with custom engravings or heartfelt messages. Whether it’s a romantic getaway or a cozy evening at home, the chosen gift serves as a poignant reminder of thirty years filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Bettis had some interesting comments on head injuries. “I think I gave more concussions than I took,” Bettis said. “I knew the angles and tried to deliver punishment.” Bettis did an impersonation of a Cincinnati Bengals defender whimpering after he hit him.
