Rich Eisen: Roger Goodell did not push Michael Vick toward Eagles

NFL Network host Rich Eisen joined the show to talk about the big stories around the league.

Eisen doesn’t think NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was hands-on pushing Michael Vick toward the Eagles. “It makes very little sense,” Eisen said.

Eisen thinks it’s ridiculous Goodell is sitting there in his office playing agent for Vick. Eisen thinks at the end of the day, the Eagles made Vick a two-year offer. And the bottom line for Vick was getting money since he was in the midst of bankruptcy.

Eisen also weighed in on the league’s decision to let Terrelle Pryor into the Supplemental Draft, but with a five-game suspension. Eisen thinks that it’s about Pryor and the draft system.

“What he did someone could use as a template to manipulate the system in the future,” Eisen said.

Eisen said if the NFL’s real motive was cleaning up college football, then “Bravo.”
