Kawakami said postponing Raiders-49ers preseason series wise

San Jose Mercury News columnist Tim Kawakami joined the show to talk about the issues with the Raiders-49ers preseason games and Oakland drafting Terrelle Pryor  in the NFL’s supplemental draft.

Kawakami thinks postponing the Raiders-49ers preseason series is a good idea. “You just have to cool this down,” Kawakami said. He said retaliation is the problem when they alternate stadiums.

Kawakami said he thinks that season ticket holders weren’t there. “Fringe elements of both teams were there,” Kawakami said.

Kawakami said that they’ve done a lot to clear up the safety issues in Oakland. But Kawakami said they had to clean it up in the last three years or so.

Kawakami also commented on the Raiders taking Pryor. Kawakami said Al Davis loves quarterbacks who win big college games and loves QBs who can run. Kawakami said that Davis really wanted Vince Young. And he wanted Colin Kaepernick in this year’s draft. Kawakami said that third-round pick doesn’t mean much — Davis would have traded that pick to the Patriots on draft night anyway.
