Heisman pundit says Andrew Luck a bona fide favorite

Chris Huston of Hesimanpundit.com joined the show to forecast this year’s Heisman race.

Huston said Andrew Luck is the true front-runner. “I’ll take Andrew Luck,” Huston said. “I voted for him last year and I’d vote for him again.”

Huston thinks it’s OK if Luck isn’t in the national title game. “I think he can absorb a couple losses,” Luck said. “Stanford isn’t expected to go undefeated every year. In that regard, he has a little bit of an advantage.”

Huston thinks that Houston quarterback Case Keenum does have a shot if he throws for an NCAA-record 6,000 yards.

Huston’s darkhorse is West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith. But he also gives a big-program guy like Landry Jones at Okahoma a good chance. And he pointed to LaMichael James and Kellen Moore as legit candidates.
