Bill Buckner talks about how he landed in Curb Your Enthusiasm

Former MLB star Bill Buckner joined the show to talk about his role in this week’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Buckner said that David called him last summer and tried to convince him to do it. Buckner said he didn’t know Seinfeld or Curb.

Buckner said he was cautious at first, but he thinks it worked out very well. Buckner said he got a lot of calls saying it was positive.

Buckner said that the final scene with the baby and the fire took 10 hours to film. “It took about six hours of dropping the baby to get it to land in the right spot,” Buckner said.

Dan asked if Buckner could have done this sort of thing 10 years ago. “Probably not,” Buckner said. “Things changed for me personally and publically.”

Buckner said that he would like to coach in the Cubs organization next season. They have a team in his hometown of Boise. He is with the Red Sox organization right now.
