Joe Maddon says bias for Yanks, Red Sox helps fuel Rays

Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon joined the show to talk about their surprising run at the playoffs.

Maddon said that the big-market, East Coast bias that seems to favor the Yankees and Red Sox doesn’t bother them. In fact, it fuels them.

Maddon said he knew the Rays were still in it, because of the way the schedule panned out.

Maddon is walking around New York today, and he says people recognize him. He thinks the reason is the glasses.
