Kevin Millar thinks Francona likely out in Boston

MLB Network analyst Kevin Millar joined the show to talk about the Red Sox collapse and the upcoming playoffs.

Millar said if he was a betting man, he thinks Terry Francona is out in Boston. “It could be a mutual thing,” Millar said. “Maybe they didn’t pick up his option fast enough.”

Millar said that the Red Sox clubhouse if filled with nice guys. But they lack a certain energy they needed during the September swoon.

Millar also made playoff picks. He said that the Phillies (formidable pitching staff) and Brewers (rolling) will advance to the NLCS. He said the Rangers (Derek Holland is his key) and Yankees will move on in the American League (Yankees lineup too tough).

Millar and Dan got into a conversation about Curt Schilling. He said Schilling has the calves of a 9-year-old, and he somehow threw 99 mph. And Millar said that the sock really was bloody.
