Kurt Warner evaluates Calvin Johnson, is surprised by passing efficiency around the NFL

The NFL Network’s Kurt Warner joined the show to talk about some of the big storylines in the league right now.

Dan asked Warner if he had Calvin Johnson ranked as the top receiver in the NFL. Warner said Johnson’s not quite there yet. “He’s as good as anyone when you put the ball in the air and get him in those one-on-one situations,” Warner said. “Where I think those other guys have a little bit of an advantage is catching the ball and making a move.

Warner did say if he was on the 10-yard line and he needed to throw one last pass to win a game, and he chose Johnson.

Warner talked about all the great quarterback play around the NFL and the way teams are approaching the game differently. “Seems like everybody passes first and runs second,” Warner said.
