Dan Marino concerned his single-season passing yardage record will fall

CBS NFL analyst and Hall of Famer Dan Marino joined the show to talk about the state of the league.

Dan asked Marino if his numbers would be better in today’s game. “Your numbers would be a lot better because of how the rules are right now,” Marino said.

Marino acknowledged his single-season passing record is in trouble. He said four or five guys are on pace to topple it this season. Marino talked about some of the high-flying attacks around the season. He noted he can’t believe the Dolphins let Wes Welker go to the Patriots.

Marino thinks that it’s a positive for the Colts that Peyton Manning will be on the sideline moving forward as he tries to recover from his neck injury. “I just hope Peyton is able to come back,” Marino said. “If anyone is a competitor to come back from this, it’s Peyton.”
