Darren Rovell weighs in on Packers stock, TCU moving conferences and NBA lockout

CNBC sports business reporter Darren Rovell joined the show to talk about a wide variety of issues:

— Rovell said the Green Bay Packers stock isn’t real stock, in the sense that it doesn’t pay dividends. He said they raise a lot of money with it. But it doesn’t help you get tickets. There’s an 85,000-person long waiting list.

— Rovell said that TCU is making a good move going to the Big 12, because they need to sell tickets. They’ll take a short-term hit with the Big East exit fee, but it’s worth it.

— Rovell said the the NBA will reach a point of diminishing returns by Jan. 1 and basically be forced to reach a deal. Rovell said that the players are hoping there’s in-fighting within the group of owners. Rovell said low-income teams don’t mind the lockout.
