Mitch Williams on Prince Fielder and Albert Pujols’ future

Mitch “Wild Thing” Williams joined the show to talk about the big stories in baseball. Here are some of his takes:

— Williams thinks that Brewers manager Ron Roenicke shouldn’t have started Shaun Marcum in the NLCS. He said Tony La Russa was smart to go to his bullpen more often.

— Williams said he talked to Rangers slugger Nelson Cruz after he made the hand gesture after hitting a homer off a 100 mph Justin Verlander pitch. Cruz was making the gesture to the Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera, not Verlander. Williams said Cruz should hit fifth, not seventh

— Williams said that if Albert Pujols leaves for the Cubs  “Albert Pujols is Babe Ruth going from Boston to New York,” Williams said.

— Williams said he thinks Prince Fielder will stay in Milwaukee since the Brewers didn’t win the NLCS. If they had won the World Series, the slugging first baseman would definitely be gone.
