Jason Witten says Tony Romo as mentally tough as anyone he’s been around

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten joined the show to talk about the season and what’s coming next.

Dan asked Witten if he gets too much pressure for being the quarterback in Dallas. “I think he understands it comes with the territory,” Witten said. “He’s mentally as tough as anyone I’ve ever been around.”

Witten said that Romo is funny and keeps it loose, but he’s serious when he needs to be.

Witten also commented on tight end Tony Gonzalez. Witten commented on how tough Gonzalez is for going over the middle over the years. “Those records will never be broken,” Witten said.

Dan asked Witten who the best team in the NFC East is. “I think it’s still up in the air,” Witten said. “But we feel like we’re a good team.”
