Greg Cote shocked Marlins are seriously pursuing Albert Pujols
The Miami Herald’s Greg Cote joined the show totalk about the possibility of the Marlins signing free agent Albert Pujols.
“If I’m betting, I’d say he’s re-upping with St. Louis,” Cote said. “I do believe the Marlins are in second ahead of the Cubs.”
But Cote said that he is amazed that the Marlins are even in the running. “Just the fact they’re making an offer in the $200 millon range is pretty stunning,” Cote said.
Cote said that the Marlins are targeting Latin players to appeal to their Spanish-speaking audience. He said it’s a big deal as they rebrand themselves.
