Bruce Hooley expects Ohio State to get one-year bowl ban

FOX Sports Ohio Buckeyes analyst Bruce Hooley joined the show to talk about the NCAA’s upcoming ruling on Ohio State.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if they got a one-year bowl ban,” said Hooley, noting Ohio State is a repeat offender.

And he thinks former coach Jim Tressel will get smacked. Hooley expects a five-year show-cause penalty.

“With Jim Tressel there was no doubt,” Hooley said. “He knew he was playing ineligible players. He knew he was lying to the NCAA.”

Hooley said that as long as it’s just a one-year bowl ban, Urban Meyer will be fine on the recruiting trail.
