Matt Barkley explains why he’s returning to USC
USC quarterback Matt Barkley joined the show to talk about his decision to stay.
Barkley said the lure of being at USC pulled him back and he’s very exciting. He
“I think it would have been a lot different,” Barkley said. “The whole story, how it lines up. We were in a dark stage and how we’ve kind of risen out of it. It’s so unique and rare, I couldn’t pass it up.”
Barkley talked about the USC ornament that was at the press conference. Barkley’s sister built it and he gave it to Lane Kiffin. Barkley said it’s in Kiffin’s house now, which disappointed Dan, because he wanted it in the ManCave.
Barkley said that he didn’t memorize his speech at Heritage Hall. He wanted it to be genuine.
