Rodney Harrison talks about Patriots’ defensive issues, Jets-Giants trash talk

NBC’s Rodney Harrison joined the show to talk about the big storylines around the NFL.

Dan asked Harrison how his former team, the Patriots, will fare moving forward. “It just depends which team shows up,” Harrison. He thinks they could beat teams like the Broncos fairly easily, but a team like the Packers or Saints with multiple weapons could cause problems for that depleted secondary.

Dan asked how his former teammates have reacted to his criticism of the defensive backfield. “I haven’t talked to one of the players in months,” Harrison said. “They never get mad at me when I say how great they’ve been playing.”

Dan asked Harrison if he would have rather had a big sack or a big interception. Harrison said a big hit on hit on a marquee quarterback is better. He said it was so exhilarating.

Harrison also weighed in on the New York Jets-New York Giants game: “Man, just shut up and go play football. Stop talking trash.”
