Bruce Feldman on Andrew Luck, Matt Barkley and Penn State job

CBSSports.com college football writer Bruce Feldman joined the show to talk about bowl games and more.

Feldman said that Andrew Luck impressed him because he did so well with no star wide receivers. Feldman pointed out Robert Griffin III had a star receiver in Kendall Wright. Feldman said Luck doesn’t have the guy who gets yards after the catch.

Feldman also weighed in on USC now that Matt Barkley is returning. “I think they’d be either No. 1 or No. 2 next year,” Feldman said. He said they have weapons at the skill positions and get a lot of their offensive line back. Feldman said that the program redshirted a lot of talent last year to get ready for this season. And USC has an advantageous schedule, with Oregon coming to L.A.

Feldman weighed in on Penn State. He said he was surprised that the Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien is a candidate. Feldman said it’s a tough spot to fill. He called it a “crapshoot.”
