Chris Mannix says T-Wolves don’t want Gasol, Love would return for max contract
SI.com’s Chris Mannix joined the show to talk about the big stories in the NBA.
Mannix said that the T-Wolves never would have given up Kevin Love for Pau Gasol. Mannix said that Minnesota has a young core and would never want to pay for Gasol.
Mannix said that he hears Love will ultimately go with the money. “If Minnesota ponies up a max contract, he’ll stay there,” Mannix said. But Mannix said he’s not sure the T-Wolves are convinced he’s worth a max contract.
Mannix also weighed in on Sacramento’s DeMarcus Cousins. He said that teams are low-balling the Kings right now to try to steal Cousins since he’s not trying in Sac-Town.
