Cris Collinsworth breaks down playoffs, weighs in on Broncos’ future

NBC NFL analyst Cris Collinsworth joined the show to talk about the playoffs and more.

Dan asked Collinsworth if these playoffs prove that it’s really defense that wins. Collinsworth acknowledged that great offenses like New Orleans and Green Bay are out, but says it’s more about complete teams. Because as good as the Niners’ defense is, they needed the offense to step up in the crunch.

Collinsworth weighed in on the Ravens’ chances against the Patriots. He believes Baltimore was playing a cautious game against Houston. He expects an entirely different mindset against New England and they will take shots downfield.

Collinsworth weighed in on Denver. He noted John Elway is very honest and that he’s going to keep looking. “I think they’re going to go get somebody,” Collinsworth said.

Collinsworth also weighed in on his MVP vote. He said he thought hard about Drew Brees, but ultimately went with Aaron Rodgers.
