Schultz: Irsay taking a new approach to running Colts
Indianapolis radio host (1260 WDNE) Derek Schultz joined the show to talk about the future of the Colts.
Schultz agrees with Dan that the Colts seem to be heading toward a clean break from the Peyton Manning years.
Schultz said all signs indicated that Jim Caldwell would return to Indy. He even sat in on an interview with a potential new defensive coordinator. “Clearly something changed in the last 24 hours,” Schultz said.
Schultz said it was tough for owner Jim Irsay to make a business decision like cutting Caldwell. But now Irsay is becoming more business-like in the way he’s running the team. “He’s really sticking himself out there and making himself open to criticism,” Schultz said.
