Mike Florio said Eli now could be considered an ‘immortal’
Profootballtalk.com editor and NBC analyst Mike Florio joined guest host Glenn Ordway to talk about the Giants’ Super Bowl victory.
Glenn also asked about Eli’s status as an elite quarterback. “It’s now is he immortal, not is he elite,” Florio said.
Florio did have a criticism of Eli. “The one thing I’d like to see Eli Manning do is see him play better when his back isn’t against the wall,” Florio said.
Glenn asked Mike about Rob Gronkowski’s health. “I think he was 90 percent running in a straight line. He was 50 percent trying to make a cut,” Florio said. Florio even thinks Gronkowski’s injury affected him on the Hail Mary at the end.
Florio also talked about how incredibly thin the margin between not making the playoffs and going far is in the NFL. He said all 32 teams have to feel like they have a shot right now.
