Charles Barkley weighs in on Lin-Sanity
TNT’s Charles Barkley joined the show to talk about the big storylines in the NBA.
Barkley weighed in on the Jeremy Lin phenomenon. He said Lin is playing great, but the key is how Lin fits in with Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire. Right now, Barkley said the “ball is flowing.” Barkley said Anthony isn’t going to change in a week, so it’s hard to see how he’ll all of a sudden play in a ball-movement offense.
Barkley can’t understand why they didn’t bring in a point guard earlier. They were using converted two-guards.
Barkley isn’t crazy about Ricky Rubio yet. “He’s a very good passer, but he can’t shoot,” Barkley said.
Barkley weighed in on some of the other plot themes around the league. Barkley thinks Rajon Rondo would be a great addition for the Lakers.
Barkley said the Magic have to make a decision on Dwight Howard. He thinks the Magic can’t take a chance he’ll leave via free agency, because they’d be back to ground zero.
