Howard Beck: Carmelo will figure out how to adjust to Lin
New York Times’ Howard Beck joined the show to talk about Jeremy Lin and the Knicks.
Beck said the Knicks should be better when Carmelo Anthony returns. He said that Anthony has his shortcomings, but he has to see that it’s working now and he’ll get on board. Beck said Carmelo can be a great three-point shooter and will get some good opportunities with Lin.
“I’m not convinced it will be easy,” Beck said, “but I do feel Carmelo is smart enough to realize what’s going on here.”
Beck said the atmosphere at Madison Square Garden is unbelievable. Beck said fans don’t typically bring signs, but they are now.
Beck thinks the Knicks are now at least top four in the Eastern Conference. Beck said the defense has been decent all season, and now the offense is coming around.
