Chris Mannix says Knicks can contend in East
Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix joined the show to talk about the latest on Jeremy Lin and more.
Mannix stuck up for SI’s second straight Lin cover in a row. He said Lin is the story right now and there’s no other sport moving the needle right now.
Mannix thinks that the Knicks can contend for the Eastern Conference. “This team has now the requisite pieces to compete with the big dogs in the East,” Mannix said.
Mannix weighed in on Kobe Bryant as well. He said Bryant wants to make sure Pau Gasol has his mind right, because Kobe needs Gasol to play well to help him.
Mannix weighed in on Kobe’s long-term future. He said that he’s not going to be a ring-chaser and leave the Lakers.
