Mark Kiszla credits Elway for landing Peyton in Denver
Denver Post’s Mark Kiszla joined the show to talk about the Broncos getting Peyton Manning.
Kiszla thinks John Elway was the key. He said he was a great closer as a player and appears to be a great closer as an executive.
Kiszla commented on what role Tim Tebow played in this. “Elway obviously didn’t want Tim Tebow as his starting quarterback,” Kiszla said.
Kiszla thinks that Tebow shouldn’t got to a team that just wants him to sell tickets and jerseys. He think Tebow needs the team’s football people to be behind him.
Dan asked Kiszla what his first question to Peyton would be later today. Kiszla said he’d ask if this is a failure if the Broncos don’t win the Super Bowl.
