Carmelo Anthony talks about his role without Lin, Stoudemire; D’Antoni’s firing

New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony joined the show to talk about his season and more.

Dan asked if he was tired after scoring 42 against the Heat on Sunday. “I’m tired period,” Anthony said. “My body is tired. But there’s no need to start complaining now. We have seven games left.”

Anthony explained how his role has changed without Jeremy Lin and Amare’e Stoudemire in the lineup. “I’m more the facilitator now,” Anthony said.

Anthony said that it was an adjustment to play with Lin … “just waiting and hoping and wishing the ball comes to me.”

Dan asked Carmelo if he had a role in Mike D’Antoni being fired. “I had nothing to do with it,” Anthony said.

Dan asked Carmelo who he would give his MVP vote to. “I would have to go between LeBron and Kevin Durant,” Anthony said.
