Clayton Kershaw comments on Dodgers’ early success, new ownership group

Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw joined the show to talk about the season and more.

Kershaw said his manager Don Mattingly is possibly a bit more relaxed this year, but he’s always been good to play for. “It’s just a fun clubhouse to be in,” Kershaw said.

Kershaw weighed in on the new ownership group. He said he hasn’t met Magic Johnson yet. But he likes having a new group in there. “When they ask who our owner is, we can just say it and move on,” Kershaw said.

Kershaw isn’t worried that he hasn’t notched a win yet but doesn’t mind because the team is playing so well.

Dan asked Kershaw who the best hitter was in California. Kershaw went with Matt Kemp at No. 1 and when Dan asked, he said that he’s not sure he’d put the Angels’ Albert Pujols over his teammate Andre Ethier.
