Steve Spurrier on how the NFL views QBs differently

South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier joined the show to talk about the upcoming NFL Draft and the Gamecocks’ big hopes for next season.

Spurrier talked about how the NFL has changed. When he came into the League as the No. 3 overall pick in 1967, the Niners told him he may have to wait five years. Now QBs are supposed to ready immediately.

Spurrier also commented on how the game has changed. Now everyone is running the spread and it always changes. Spurrier said that they run a majority of the time out of the spread because that’s what they do best.

“There’s all kind of ways to win a game,” Spurrier said. “There’s nothing wrong with running.”

Spurrier said that his star running back Marcus Lattimore is right on schedule and should be a full go by the beginning of the season.
