Mannix impressed with Mayweather’s performance on Saturday
Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix joined the show to talk about Floyd Mayweather’s win over Miguel Cotto this weekend and the NBA playoffs.
Mannix was surprised Cotto did as well as he did. But he was also impressed with Mayweather.
“I give Mayweahter credit,” Mannix said. “He didn’t back away from the action. It was maybe one of the most impressive fights in his career.”
Mannix said Mayweather doesn’t need to fight Manny Pacquiao to keep on making huge money. He said that’s one of the problems — he’s making too much money fighting guys everyone knows he can beat.
Mannix explained why Mayweather had Justin Bieber walk in with him. Mayweather wanted all of Bieber’s Twitter followers knowing about the fight.
Mannix also weighed in on several NBA topics. He made a strong argument against Jeremy Lin playing again in this Knicks-Heat series. Mannix said it’s not worth risking is health for a series the Knicks can’t win.
