Sacha Baron Cohen explains new direction in The Dictator
Actor Sacha Baron Cohen joined the show to talk about his new movie The Dictator.
Dan asked Baron Cohen if people recognize him on the street. He said that when he was Ali G there was no one ever covering him. He said he did his first interview today as himself in his home country of today in England.
Baron Cohen said that it’s almost impossible for him to involve real people. That’s why The Dictator had a script.
Baron Cohen talked about the potential for violence during shooting movies. He said the cage fighting scene at the end of Bruno was scary because there were several ex-cons in the audience. He said that he had an escape hatch in the cage.
Baron Cohen also told an incredible story about escaping from a potential angry Alabama football crowd.
