Anthony Davis said family wanted him to play for Michael Jordan

Former Kentucky big man Anthony Davis joined the show to talk about the NBA Draft Lottery and what he expects in the future.

“I was very nervous,” Davis said about last night. He said he wasn’t nervous about the teams, but just to be a part of it.

Davis said he wouldn’t move his mother down to New Orleans if the Hornets draft him. “I might let her get a house down here,” Davis said. “But that’s too close.”

Davis said people in his family, which is from Chicago, wanted him to go to Charlotte to play for Michael Jordan.

Davis said that he knows a few guys on the Hornets roster … and he doesn’t plan on playing center. He said he was a forward at Kentucky and has those skills.

Davis explained a recent photo of him in a Hornets hat was actually a Charlotte Hornets hat a friend sent him.
